Whats App New Update Brings Mark As Unread, Google Drive Backup And Many More New Features

    Whats App New Update Bring
Mark As Unread, Google Drive Backup,

    And Many More New Features.

WhatsApp is bringing its entire set of customized choices, which can be found just for the entire app at current, for particular person contacts. The latest update, version 2.12.194, brings a host of new, interesting features that add extra functionality and convenience for WhatsApp users. Though the update has not been pushed to the Google Play Store, you can still download it from the company’s website and check out the new features like Custom notifications, Mark as Unread, low data setting and more.

    1. Mark as Unread

In the new update for the Android app, messages can be marked as ‘unread’ by tapping and holding the conversation. They are given a green status, serving as a reminder for users to reply to someone another time. Marking a message as unread will not change the order of conversations on the app. It could serve as a visual reminder when you want to get back to someone later.

    2. Custom notifications

For instance, if you need to set a selected ringtone for a contact, you can choose any track out of your playlist, so you know the messages and calls are from that exact individual even with out taking a look at your smartphone.Similarly, you can set notification light colors, separate call and message ringtones, allow or disable vibrations and pop-up notifications for each contact.

    3. Google Drive integration

Backing up your chats, images, videos and all other forms of media will become a lot easier with this feature. It will allow your chats to be backed up to your Google accounts.

You also have options such as ‘Google Drive backup bytes sent’ and ‘Google Drive backup bytes received’ (Go to Settings> Account Option> Network Usage), but no way to trigger a Google Drive backup. Maybe that’s a future update.

    4. Mute individual contacts

Hate replying to them but can’t block them? At times the option of muting group conversations feels like a blessing. However, the next update will also enable users to mute individual contacts. Check the mute bar in the ‘about’ menu, slide it to the right and receive no notifications for either 8 hours, a week, or a year.

    5. Lower data consumption in WhatsApp calls

For people who make WhatsApp calls quite often and wish to reduce their data consumption can thank the developers for this new feature. Here’s what you have to do: Settings>Chats and Calls>Low Data Usage (click the box to save some data while making WhatsApp calls).

The update will roll out gradually. But in case you are desperate to get these features, you can download the update from the v2.12.194
